What about watching TV? does it require the same effort as using a computer?

Here are some answers I got:

With a computer you are reading and processing information. (Staring and focusing on the screen, usually, small parts within the screen) With tv, your just watching.

I think its because you are much closer to a computer screen than a television.

Bubble computer screens hurt your eyes because since the screen is curved your eyes dont have a single point to focus in on. With a flat screen it’s much easier for your eyes to focus.
