Do you find it more difficult to read road signs? Are you having a hard time telling the difference between the red and the green traffic lights? Or maybe you are having a hard time dealing with the glare of the oncoming car lights at night? Then, do you want to hear the good news, or the bad news?

OK, let’s start with the good news… you have company with these symptoms, you are not alone. As we age, we start having more problems with our night driving visions. It’s the main reason I purchased this “Rebuild Your Vision Program“.
There is a little bad news, because I have read that many states are starting to update their vision requirements for aging drivers. This would be because of the oncoming wave of baby boomers.

So if you are wise enough to own the Rebuild Your Vision System, or, you are thinking about it, don’t dawdle anymore…do the program. I did and it helped me! And, if you are debating whether to include your Ocu-Plus Formula vitamins in your food budget, think about your aging eyes and remember, driving is not a right, it’s a privilege.

Improve Your Eyesight Naturally Discover this Rebuild Your Vision Naturally Program, a step-by-step guide to improve your vision.

It is very important to understand and recognize special health-needs of seniors. Either we are nearing this age, or, we are taking care of someone who has reached that age. Included in this health need is vision. I mean, we all know and treasure the importance of good vision, good eyesight.

Vision impairment us known to be one of the causes of depresseion in seniors. And, why wouldn’t they get depressed. Vision is so vital to our life.

A statement from RebuildYourVision: “In a study published in Archives of Ophthalmology, researchers found that depression in nursing home residents can be reduced significantly when refractive errors such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, and presbyopia (aging vision) are identified and corrected. Rates of uncorrected vision errors were 15 times higher for nursing home residents compared with those who lived in the community.”

Of course when vision is improved, the quality of daily life increases, and, depression decreases.

Seniors dread vision diseases, such as, age related macular degeneration, cataracts, and glaucoma.

Silverstone goes on to note that “vision impairment has been identified as a precursor of lowered morale and reduced self-esteem. It is not an exaggeration to conclude that vision impairment at any age is a highly emotional issue; and no less so in late life, as reflected in high rates of depression among older people with impaired vision.”

Hey, if you are a baby boomer, you know you are aging It’s on our minds. But, one good thing is, baby boomers do not just age, they manage their aging! Just think, Madonna, just celebrated her 53rd birthday. Wow! but, look at the good shape that seniors, or approaching seniors are in these days. It doesn’t happen by itself, it is worked for.

So, make eye health, vision health one of your priorities. Look into eye exercises, eye nutrition, eye wellness.

Vision problems? Looking for a way to improve your
eyesight naturally? Then stop everything and read…

We all get old, that’s a given, but, we can manage our aging. And that includes our vision.

The official name for aging vision is: Presbyopia. Presbyopia is hardening of the lens and also the tightening of our eye muscles. This is aging vision, well, one problem of aging vision.

This wonderful aging process can start around age 40, and continue from there. It really does affect almost everyone.

You will notice that you are starting to have problems reading a newspaper, maybe even a menu. Your arms seem to go further and further away from your eyes when holding something you are trying to read.

And bingo! Your first set of reading glasses.

At this point in your life, I think your vision is not the only muscle that is tightening up. I bet so are a few other muscles, and you may have already started stretching exercises..

So guess what? Your eyes need to be exercised too. And, they can be.

There are vision exercises, techniques you can do to improve your eyes. You can improve your optic elasticity and strengthen your eyes.

And you actually have to DO THE EXERCISES. It only takes about 15-20 minutes a day. That’s not a lot of time to invest in your eyesight.

It’s absolutely possible to improve your eyesight with the Rebuild Your Vision Program

There are also other ways for you to help manage your vision, along with the Rebuild Your Vision Program.

1) Make sure that you have lots of light. Always have up to 3 times more light in the area that you are reading then the rest of the room.

2) Don’t have a glare on what you are visually working on. This is very important to your eyes.

3) Try to keep whatever it is you are visually working on at eye level. About 16 inches away from your eyes.

And, one of the most important issues you should address. GO OUT AND WALK AND LOOK AROUND YOU.

Check out this post on the very subject of getting out and looking at the world

The Forest, The Mountain And Your Eyesight – Improve Your Vision

4) Your eyes are NOT meant to do “near” work for hours and hours at a time. Go out for a walk. Look around you (not down). Check out the horizon, the sky, the scene that is far away. Look all around you and let your eyes get back that wonderful feeling of “far looking”.

So, in a nutshell

Get the Rebuild Your Vision Program, and then do it!

Go out for walks and do a lot of “far looking”

And, change your lifestyle, try and eat and drink healthy

To your future with excellent eyesight!

I am an organ player for my church.
I know that musicians have a real hard time with
“aging” eyes and reading music.
I am sure that there are many other areas
in life where weak vision can be a real pain…
Check this system out, see what you think.

Fighting Aging Vision

Getting old is inevitable, but losing your vision doesn’t have to be.

Presbyopia, or “aging vision,” as it is commonly referred to, is the hardening of the lens and tightening of the eye muscles associated with aging.

This condition occurs in nearly everyone at some point in their lives, typically around the age of 40. Aging vision causes the ciliary muscle, which is the muscle that is responsible for focusing, to become inflexible. It is therefore unable to change the shape of the lens the amount required to focus on near-point objects.

At first you might find it hard to focus on the newspaper or on a menu at a restaurant. Before you know it, your arms aren’t long enough to read anything.

Can Glaucoma Be Prevented?

In the USA Glaucoma is the second largest reason for vision loss. It has affected more than 3 million people in the USA. Gluacoma is a group of diseases that result in damage to the optic nerve because of high pressure that is inside the eyeball.

Your optic nerve is like one of those big cabels that actually carries/transfers nerves, this transfers what you see from the retina to your brain. As your optic nerve becomes damages/ deteriorates, then blind spots will develop in what you see *your visual field. It will start with your peripheral vision (unlike AMD, which actually starts right in the center of your vision field). DO NOT LEAVE ANY SMPTOMS UNTREATED, Glaucoma can lead to blindness in both eyes!

Types of Glaucoma

Andrea Bocelli, the very famous opera singer, and Ray Charles, who we have all come to know and love, the very famous R&B singer, both of these amazing musicians have developed glaucoma in their childhood, and so, both of these talented men are blind from this disease. Childhood glaucoma (also known as congenital glaucoma) is usually diagnosed within the first year of life. It is a rare condition that may be inherited and is caused by incorrect or incomplete development of the eye’s drainage canals during the prenatal period.

Primary glaucoma is the most common form.

And then, to make it complicated, Primary glaucoma can be divided into two types: open angle and closed angle. Open angle is the type seen most frequently in the United States. According to the Glaucoma Research Foundation (GRF), it occurs when the eye’s drainage canals become clogged over time. It is usually detected in its early stages during routine eye examinations. And that is why you MUST see an eye doctor on a regular scheduled basis.

Closed angle glaucoma, also called acute glaucoma, has a sudden onset in people with anatomically narrow angles. It is characterized by severe eye pain and blurred vision. According to the GRF, eye pressure increases very quickly because “the drainage canals get blocked or covered over” with closed angle glaucoma.

The Thief of Sight

Glaucoma is also known as “the silent thief,” because it can slowly steal your sight with no warning signs, until a fair bit of damage is done.

According to Prevent Blindness America, risk factors for developing glaucoma include:

- Age: People aged 40 and older are more likely to develop glaucoma.
- Family history: Those with parents or siblings who have glaucoma are more likely to develop the disease.
- Race: People of African or Afro-Caribbean heritage are four to five times more at risk for glaucoma than the rest of the population and are more likely to develop it at an early age.
- Diabetes: People with diabetes have a higher risk of developing glaucoma.
- Myopia: People who are very nearsighted are at greater risk.

Now, there actually is an upside because, only a small number of people with glaucoma will lose their sight. There is no cure, but, because of advanced technoligy, it is much easier to detect.

Prevention and Treatment

So far, there are no known cures. As with any disease, step one for me would be:
IMPROVE LIFESTYLE, AND, TAKE NUTRIENTS, AND EXERCISE.

The best you can do is: PREVENTATIVE, which means, see your doctor on a regular scheduled time.

I know off one family, where one of the children are totally, legally blind, and the rest of the family has deteriorated vision, some memember only a little, and some quite a lot. These are hereditary cases.

On another side, my business associate friend was diagnosed with glaucoma in her 60′s … and the doctor assured her she will not go blind with it.

Today’s Seniors want to be active! See The World

Aging does make you more susceptible to eye disease and eye problems But! Eye disease and loss of vision does NOT have to be part of aging. There are certain preventative measures that CAN help you against aging vision. I have read that 40% to 50% of all blindness could have been avoided or treated. And it starts by regular visits to a vision specialist, and becoming pro-active with eye exercises, eye nutrition, and, omega3 fish oil.

It is imperative you go to visit your vision specialist on a regular basis!!!

There are other lifestyle changes you can make to start taking control:

1-Stop smoking. Every eye specialist will tell you that. Especially against Age Related Macular Degeneration.

2-Are you getting enough antioxidants? Eating all the proper colored vegetables and fruit? Getting the proper vitamins, minerals and good fats is super important. Check out the pharmaceutical grade omega 3 here – it is a proven fact that omega 3 can help with your eye health.

3-Protecting your eyes is of utmost importance. Make sure that if you are out in the sun for any length of time you get the proper sunglasses to protect your eyes.

4-Also, learn about “near point stress” (staring too long at a near object like monitors, games, tv screens”

Here is what you will receive…

What is age-related macular degeneration?

Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is a disease associated with aging that gradually destroys sharp, central vision. Central vision is needed for seeing objects clearly and for common daily tasks such as reading and driving.

AMD affects the macula, the part of the eye that allows you to see fine detail. AMD causes no pain.

In some cases, AMD advances so slowly that people notice little change in their vision. In others, the disease progresses faster and may lead to a loss of vision in both eyes. AMD is a leading cause of vision loss in Americans 60 years of age and older.

AMD occurs in two forms: wet and dry.

Where is the macula?

The macula is located in the center of the retina, the light-sensitive tissue at the back of the eye. The retina instantly converts light, or an image, into electrical impulses. The retina then sends these impulses, or nerve signals, to the brain.

What is wet AMD?

Wet AMD occurs when abnormal blood vessels behind the retina start to grow under the macula. These new blood vessels tend to be very fragile and often leak blood and fluid. The blood and fluid raise the macula from its normal place at the back of the eye. Damage to the macula occurs rapidly.

With wet AMD, loss of central vision can occur quickly. Wet AMD is also known as advanced AMD. It does not have stages like dry AMD.

An early symptom of wet AMD is that straight lines appear wavy. If you notice this condition or other changes to your vision, contact your eye care professional at once. You need a comprehensive dilated eye exam.

What is dry AMD?

Dry AMD occurs when the light-sensitive cells in the macula slowly break down, gradually blurring central vision in the affected eye. As dry AMD gets worse, you may see a blurred spot in the center of your vision. Over time, as less of the macula functions, central vision is gradually lost in the affected eye.

The most common symptom of dry AMD is slightly blurred vision. You may have difficulty recognizing faces. You may need more light for reading and other tasks. Dry AMD generally affects both eyes, but vision can be lost in one eye while the other eye seems unaffected.

One of the most common early signs of dry AMD is drusen.

What are drusen?

Drusen are yellow deposits under the retina. They often are found in people over age 60. Your eye care professional can detect drusen during a comprehensive dilated eye exam.

Drusen alone do not usually cause vision loss. In fact, scientists are unclear about the connection between drusen and AMD. They do know that an increase in the size or number of drusen raises a person’s risk of developing either advanced dry AMD or wet AMD. These changes can cause serious vision loss.

Dry AMD has three stages, all of which may occur in one or both eyes:

Early AMD. People with early AMD have either several small drusen or a few medium-sized drusen. At this stage, there are no symptoms and no vision loss.

Intermediate AMD. People with intermediate AMD have either many medium-sized drusen or one or more large drusen. Some people see a blurred spot in the center of their vision. More light may be needed for reading and other tasks.

Advanced Dry AMD. In addition to drusen, people with advanced dry AMD have a breakdown of light-sensitive cells and supporting tissue in the central retinal area. This breakdown can cause a blurred spot in the center of your vision. Over time, the blurred spot may get bigger and darker, taking more of your central vision. You may have difficulty reading or recognizing faces until they are very close to you.

The new Seattle Public Library, designed by Dutch architect Rem Koolhaus, became an international hit the minute it opened its doors. People lined up around the block to see the “Books Spiral, the honeycombed glass windows, and the colorful new reading room…and of course, they also came to check out reading material.

While most people could read the huge Dewey decimal numbers on the floor of the Books Spiral, many of them, when they got home, found their arms weren’t quite long enough to read the books they’d borrowed.from Short Arm Disease, but rather a condition called presbyopia-more commonly known as a sign of middle age.

So, what is presbyopia?
Presbyopia is a condition where the eye exhibits a progressively diminished ability to focus on near objects with age.

Using 11 volunteers ranging in age between 45 and 64 years of age, researchers at the Queensland University in Brisbane, Australia found that the volunteers (all of whom suffered from presbyopia) were less able to recognize road hazards and had to be closer to road signs to read them than people who wore glasses.

This can come as especially bad news for contact lens wearers. But fortunately there is an alternative.

As you may know, presbyopia (also commonly referred to as “aging vision”) is a condition that results in the deterioration of a person’s vision after the age of 40. What you may not know is the real cause of it.

As you age, your eye lens hardens and the muscle tightens. This inflexibility causes the ciliary muscle to become unable to change the shape of the lens enough to focus on objects – especially near-point objects.

A common misconception is this is simply a result of getting older, and unless you are willing to undergo a risky surgery, presbyopia can only be treated with glasses or contacts.

Not so.

The better, long term solution is to coordinate and strengthen theses muscles to regain their flexibility and allow them to work properly. Just like exercise can help an aging body stay young, exercises designed specifically for the eye can allow you to maintain – and even improve – your vision at an advanced age, so you can continue to enjoy life to the fullest – with healthy vision.
