How Do I Know My Eye Gear Will Be Effective?

Your normal glasses, or reading glasses, your sunglasses, and even your safety glasses do not provide the required eye protection for sports participants. With Spring around the corner, get geared up for many different sports. Athletes should get sports eye-guards that are made specifically so the eyes are protected while playing a specific sport. Buy your eye guards at eather a sports store or at an optical store and have someone who knows what they are doing help fit you for the eyewear.

Make sure that the eyewear your purchase contain the correct lenses. Lenses must be secure because with the demanding sports there is always a chance that a lens may pop inward, which could end up with eye damage.

ps: Eye guards should have cushioning right along the eyebrow and also along the edge of the nose to prevent cutting or damaging the face. Be eye-safe this sports season.
