“They could see buildings and windows clearly without glasses many miles across San Francisco Bay…”
“Subjects often stated that they had experienced the ability to make eye contact (without correction) with people across a room or street; they could see buildings and windows clearly without glasses many miles across San Francisco Bay, or in the case of high diopter myopes (> -4.0 diopters) they were able to read books easily at arms length.”

How Can You Detect Vision Loss?
Macular degeneration, or vision loss, is the most common cause of blindness in Americans over the age of 50. Check for these symptoms to see if you or someone you know may be suffering from this condition.
Vision problems? Looking for a way to

One tip… look at a long and straight object. Do you see it as straight or wavy??
Do you see a dark, a blank or a blurry spot in the middle of your vision?
I heard of this one also, try covering one eye at a time and see if what you’re looking at changes color.
Are you over 65? Do you smoke? Have you been in the sun for lengthy periods of time?
These are just a few tips. The best you can do is check with your eye doctor on a regular basis. And, be pro active in your own eye care!!!
